What is Camp Impact?
Camp Impact aims to train social entrepreneurs on impact measurement and management, and how their enterprise can align to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the end of the training, each social entrepreneur shall be able to develop an Impact Value Chain for their business and align their efforts to the SDGs.
Training Objectives
After participating in the two-day virtual camp, participating social entrepreneurs should be able to:
Understand key concepts in impact measurement and management;
Identify relevant indicators to measure and manage their enterprise’s social impact; and
Develop an Impact Value Chain by mapping their enterprise’s operations against the SDGs.

Camp Facilitators
Rabayl Mirza
Rabayl Mirza is the Impact Management Specialist at the Business Call to Action working closely with organizations and companies to help them manage and measure their impact on the SDGs.
Prior to joining BCtA, Rabayl worked as a Senior Manager for the Measurement, Learning and Evaluation function at the Aman Foundation, $100 million social impact fund of the Abraaj Group. She also led the CSR department for Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), a private shipping conglomerate. At PICT Rabayl set up Organization for Social Development Initiatives (OSDI) that invested in health, education and livelihoods in the rural areas of Pakistan. She has an MSc in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the University of Nottingham (UK) and a Bachelors in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration.
Namita Rao
Namita is the Outreach and Membership Analyst at Business Call to Action. Her role at BCtA includes identifying sectors and companies that are developing inclusive business models, engaging members with BCtA’s network, and conducting risk assessments.
Prior to joining BCtA, Namita worked as a Sustainability and Process Consultant with Windrose Capital, an India based venture capital company. As an applied anthropologist, Namita has experience across multiple sectors in India, Nepal, and the United States. She has been a corporate due diligence researcher with Exiger Diligence and has also led the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s nutrition education program in Washington D.C.
Namita has a MA, Public Anthropology from American University (U.S.) and a BA, Media Studies from Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (India).

Launched at the United Nations in 2008, Business Call to Action (BCtA) aims to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by challenging companies to develop and grow inclusive business models that engage people at the base of the economic pyramid (BoP) as consumers, producers, suppliers, distributors of goods and services and employees.

Innovation for Social Impact Partnership (ISIP) is a three-year project that aims to support promising innovative Social Enterprises (SEs) in the Philippines to collectively contribute to the acceleration, achievement, and sustainability of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is a project co-implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and PhilDev Foundation (PhilDev), supported by the Australian Embassy in the Philippines. ISIP is anchored on three key strategies: Entrepreneurship, Education, and Policy Agenda.

Impact Boost Camp 2020
With the aim of extending support to early-stage social enterprises and to building the pipeline for the Social Impact Accelerator Batch 3, the Innovation for Social Impact Partnership (ISIP) launched the Impact Boost Camp last February 3 to 7.
For five days, 30 diverse impact-driven enterprises had the opportunity to grow their business and boost their social impact in the camp. Aside from that, they were able to meet and listen to the inspiring stories of experts, industry leaders and pioneers, and fellow entrepreneurs.

Preparing to be part of the workforce can be difficult, especially for students and young professionals; the thought of choosing the right company to apply to, figuring out one’s strengths and capabilities, and whether or not to start their own business. There is definitely a lot of uncertainty in starting something new, but as we’ve learned from two startup founders in their early twenties, “Don’t be afraid to try new things.”
